Another quick update with a few more bits and bobs of baking. I had another go at making the Babka, this time using candied chestnuts in place of almonds or hazelnuts. I didn’t take a photo of the finished product but this was it before it went into the oven.

The next thing was Custard Tarts. I can’t remember which recipe I followed, it might have been the one from the Hairy Biker’s Pies book.

Finally we have a tear and share bread. This would have been a part of our traditional Pizza Night we do nearly every weekend. The dough was our normal pizza dough and I cut it into strips, spread it with garlic butter mixed with cream cheese, or green pesto. These strips were then laid on top of each other and placed in the bread maker pan and baked.
